Week 3 Why am I here? Day 11

God is God, I am me. I need to let God be God and do his job and do only the things that only He can do. I am me. The best thing I can do is be the best “me” that I can be. God even gives us direction in how to go about doing that.
Read Mark 12: 28-31 According to these verses what is our purpose? Why are we here? How are you doing at these things? Give some examples if you can.

  1. Our purpose is to love and serve God with all our heart and to treat other people the same way that we would treat ourselves. Unfortunately, all humans fail at this purpose. One example is how people always are rude to one another and treat each other with contempt.

  2. We should praise God in every situation, and in every circumstance. AS Ahmed said, we should praise the Lord in the good and the bad. Whether our lives are falling to pieces or we are on top of the world we should praise the Lord God almighty. Because now matter how sucky we may be at the moment, He has still done so much to help us all and we should be thankful that he is there for us when we need him and for the chance to learn from our experience. But one way we show our love for God is to love eachother. We were all made in the image of God, so by loving eachother we are loving God. We should love and respect each creation God has made and be thankful for them. I do agree with Justin, that people are not very good at treating others how they themselves would like to be treated, which is a shame because that could drastically change the circumstances of many people today. We are very exclusive and unaccepting of others that are different. People can be really cruel, but they can also be very caring and compassionate. During Katrina, loads of people went down with the idea that they were going to help someone out and make them in some way better off. They came in hopes of saving lives. SO we see that people are not incapable of caring for others but society just teaches us to focus on ourselves before others. But i believe in the human population, that we can change and start paying it forward; taking the love that God has given us and giving it to people around us.
